It will not cause any grave allergic reaction or anything, but it will make it so the antibiotic does not work well, if you want to obtain rid of the tonsilitis, stay away from the alcohol.

It's not a wonderful idea at all as the alcohol could make the antibiotics less affective. Also, when you're ill, you need to be taking in a good deal of liquids that will hydrate your body. Alcohol dehydrates your body and will make you feel even worse.

alcohol cancels any anti-biotic out so if you want to obtain better dont drink. if you have tonsillitis i would sooner take medication to obtain them better because they can obtain much much worse

exactly, Do NOTTTTTTT drink any alcohol while on antibotics, it will make the antibotics weak, or cause some sort of reaction.

It wont do you any grave harm if you drink alcohol whilst taking this antibiotic.
However - there are more grave implications in the longer term. For a start, you would be detracting from the antibiotics capability to treat the infection properly, and this might result in you having to obtain more antibiotics to treat the infection. You've perhaps heard about how people are building up a resistance to antibiotics due to excessive use of them - so this isn't helping matters. Also - if you have an infection, your body is already sprint down, so putting more pressure on your liver and kidneys by pouring in more poisons isn't going to make you feel very well. It's only for a short time while you take the antibiotics - perhaps only seven to ten days. Can you not wait that length of time and not have a drink? For the sake of you health!? |
