I think my mom has a fever, she keeps on shaking and making sounds because she is cold. I gave her water mixed with some orange juice. Her neck is also much hotter than mine. What should I do? She goes to the doctor all the time it doesn't seem to help. What can increase her immunity also?

COLD bath.
Also, rubbing alcohol to the feet, hands, and forehead (or even an overall sponge bath of alcohol) works WONDERS! But be careful, it can make it very hard to breathe for a few seconds after it's been put near your face. |

there are a lot remedies on the internet that cure a lot illnesses. ancient chinese remedies really do work for me. when i have a fever i take a bit of honey, some water to unthicken it and anything that is untasteful and boil it and drink it. ( i advocate quickly because it really tastes aweful ) it alleviated my fever a bit and kinda made me feel a bit better. try to by a fever reducer that has heavy strength. to make her immune system be stronger, make her take a vitamin c tablet every day and an echinacia daily also. try any vitamin store and they're certainly to have it. hope this helped!!

My grandma always used to give me Russian Tea, or some people call it Spice Tea. I make it for myself now that I'm older but it seems to help.
1 cup tang (good for your immune system) 1 cup hot tea (also wonderful for your immune system) 1 cup lemonade powder mix (good for your immune system) 1 cup sugar (makes it not so gross) 1 tablespoon cinnamon (helps break fevers) 1 tablespoon nutmeg (not really certainly my grandma told me but I can't remember, but it's wonderful for you somehow) mix all that together and put it in a jar with a lid and keep it in the fridge. When you give it to your mom put one or two tea spoons of it in a cup of hot or cold tea. I hope this helps, it always helps me. |

Yes and what I'm about to tell you works. It has been handed down through a lot generations in my family. It has been done to me and I've done it to my son. Get a large onion and slice it sort of thin. Get a pair of socks for your mom. Place slices of onion under the bottom of your mom's bare feet and put the socks on your mom to hold the onion in place. The fever will go into the onions and actually cook the onions. When the fever leaves throw the cooked onions into the trash. Repeat as a lot times as needed. If the fever does not leave soon, just repeat it until the fever leaves. Send me an email and let me know when it works. Email this person

She's already going to the doctor, so I don't need to advocate a doctor. I am not a doctor and have no training.
Obviously she requirements lots of rest. OTC fever reducers are perhaps a wonderful idea. I would advocate against orange juice or any sweet drinks. Water should be best. It's usually a wonderful idea to filter your water if you can. It would aid if I knew more about her diet and lifestyle. To improve immunity, she should eat only health food. Particularly avoid sugars and starches. When she is well, she should exercise vigorously often. Lots of cardio, and some strength/posture training. In the short term, you might try giving her garlic in some form. My favorite odorless is Kyolic brand. There are a lot other herbs that might aid immune, like astragalus or maybe ginseng. There are a lot possible vitamin insufficiencies (or surpluses if she supplements); probably take multivitamins for a month. Read what www.acu-cell.com has to say about vitamins; amateurs should be very very careful with supplementation. (any therapeutic dose is likely to become an overdose with time) Fish oil is wonderful for all kinds of things and I advocate it to all people consuming the modern diet. Flax oil is another wonderful fat. Use olive oil in cooking, don't fry things. Eat other good-fat-foods like almonds/tree nuts and salmon/cold water ocean fish. Then you have the glandular issues... thyroid associated problems, etc. It gets really complex. You basically need a wonderful doctor to figure them out. Get her the book "From Fatigued to Fantastic" by Jacob Teitelbaum, M.D. He has a website. Your library can order it for you for free. It has an appendix for dealing with doctors efficiently. Fevers can mean any of a large number of (sometimes serious) problems. Best of luck to you both. |

Give 2 Advil's, three periods a day until fever stops.
If the fever does not stop, and if it's over 101 F, call your doctor |

Natural medicine is extremely based on prevention. That means that a body messed up from taking so a lot drugs and unwell foods, will respond differently to natural medicine.
If your life style is healthy *eating whole grains *eating organic fruits and vegetables *smoke free, alchohol free, etc etc Then natural medicine is very good. But there is a whole art to it. There are amazing doctors who wrote amazing books that aid explain how to apply home remedies and herbs etc for all kinds of ailments. Some sicknesses are caused by REACTIONS to DRUGS. People take pain killers and drugs for illness and ultimately they stop working and then other sicknesses develop. Everyone should know though, that simple things like NOT smoking NOT drinking NOT doing drugs NOT having sex outside of marriage NOT consuming dead animals AND EATING HEALTHY WHOLE FOODS Can aid 90% of all health problems! Negative things on tv, movies, or in music can also make people ill over extended exposure. I just HAD to say these things before I give a few suggestions. FEVERS.. can have a lot different causes, but the major thing is that fevers come from the immune system battling a germ or virus. Sweating is a sign that the FEVER is broken. Exercise, Saunas, and Sunshine can make you sweat. Also warm blankets and hot tea. But if the fever is too high and doesn't go down from sweating, you should try to alleviate it. Lots of pepper mint tea (without sugar) and very warm. (other herb teas that are wonderful are chamomile, ginger (grate the ginger and contribute to boiling water) IMMUNE SYSTEM BOOSTERS BETA GLUCAN (buy it at health food stores and ask someone there to tell you about it) GARLIC (you can buy it in tablets and there are brands that alleviate the smell) BREWERS YEAST (take in warm water to replenish vitamins and energy lost from stress) RAW CARROTS (for anemia and parasites as well) my baby is crying so I have to go, anyway I hope this helps |
