I keep getting random episodes of mild tingling and numbness in my hands, face and feet mostly on one side. it affects dissimilar areas at dissimilar times. A couple nights ago I awoke with my back in spasms. I don't have any grave medical problems. I haven't injured myself. I don't have anxiety problems. I am 27, I don't smoke, I can't be pregnant and I have been healthy. I don't have a clue what this could be. Besides seeing a doctor for evaluation, does anybody know what might be causing this? I'd appreciate any mature grave answers.

About a year ago I started having numbness in my right foot. I hadn't been injured, was physically active, no medications, etc., so I was alarmed. I went to observe a foot doctor, thinking something was wrong with my foot. After an examination and asking a few questions, he said I had a lower back injury and should observe a neurologist. I did and the foot doctor was right! About a month after seeing him, one of the lower disks in my back ruptured (hurt like hell).

I suggest you observe a doctor to evaluate your lower back. Since you're already having spasms, you may have a degenerative disk problem. Besides surgery, there are other treatment options.

My pain was all on my right side. When the disk ruptured, the numbness and tingling increased on the right side. It was not a pleasant experience.

Please, observe a doctor when you can!

I hope you feel better soon!
