    Normal is a relative word... depends on your health situation.



    What has been recently classified as optimal is <120 over <80.

    There is a range in which blood pressure is considered normal. 120/80 used to be the norm about 30 years ago. The top number (systolic pressure) should be between 90 and 140 and the bottom number (diastolic pressure) should be between 60 and 90. Hope this helps.
