Last night I fell from the top of our stairs to bottom in my sleep. I don't think I have broken anything. I have bruised all my back, my legs and arms. My bottom on one side is really badly bruised and swollen. Do you think I need to be checked out by a doctor? I don't really want to waste their time.

Applying cold packs for 10 minutes at a time throughout the day will partially aid with the swelling.

How on earth did you fall down the stairs in your sleep?

Either way, yes you Night shift can be totally fine for the body and mind. It is not prizeful for you if you couldnot adjust to it, and still have the urge to sleep at night. need to been seen by a doctor.

The best thing would be rest but maybe you need to observe a doctor about avoiding injuring yourself while you're asleep.

I think you should definately obtain checked out by your doctor, or better still, at your local A and E department. (Your doc would the bulk likely send you straight there anyway, for x-rays.) You say you fell in your sleep? If you fell as a result of sleepwalking then this definately requirements to be looked into. Some people NEVER obtain back up again after a fall like that, so please, obtain yourself checked out,

Absolutely because there is the likelihood that you can have damaged your coccyx apart from anything else. please go down to the A & E department and obtain yourself checked out. Don't worry, your not wasting anyone's time - that's what they are there for honey.

sorry to hear about your accident

    sounds painful!

if the swelling continues to swell up or doesn't go down then you should obtain it checked

the doctor can then prescribe something to take the swelling down

    hope this has helped

No., unless you have some blood disorder, or have blood in your stool or urine, or abnormal abdominal pain.

You wouldn't be wasting their time. It's perhaps just bruises but I suggest you should go to your doctor, not just for the fall . but the idea that you're sleep walking, it's quite worrying. Get it sort it out and I hope you feel better soon. xxxx

i fell down a full flight of stairs 4yrs ago and didn't obtain medical aid for 10wks when the pain had become unbearable.

Because I left it so long the undermine I did is permanent and would be treated now forever in one technique or another.

Please obtain yourself along to your Doc's or pop down to A&E and then if you did do some damage you could get it sorted!!!

    Good luck!
