My front tooth hurts alot, and around the base it's kinda caved in and turning greyish/blackish in its root. I do not currently have dental insurance, and am getting married the 29th. I scheme to call a dentist first thing Monday morning, and hopefully pay with payments. But my question is, does anybody know whats going on? What could the discoloration be, and what about the metal taste?

    Thanks!

hmm not sure, it could be that your tooth is deteriorating. The metal taste might be blood. When my gums bleed it has a metally taste to it. I would suggest going to dr asap

did you bump yourself recently? metal taste is blood, you may have an infection starting, if its been like this awhile, then it could very well be the beginning of dental disease, which ever although you don't have dental insurance, try locating a local dentist on line that will do dental work at a minute cost, some go by your income, bring some pay stubs and they will let you know how much to pay, or try a local, aspen dental, they are very wonderful and work out payment plans with you. i hope everything works out for you. wonderful luck

Goodness, I logged on to ask a similar question. I have raging toothache today and observed everything I have tried to eat today tastes like metal. It must be connected. I will also have to go to the dentist on Monday. Good luck with your wedding.
