Stereotactic brain surgery is a very precise procedure. The radiologists usually perform a CT scan or PET scan first in order to establish landmarks for the procedure. They they stabilize the head and neck in a halo-cast to prevent movement during the procedure. It is a very precise and acceptable treatment for a tumor, whether it's for biopsy, removal, delivery of radiation, etc. Further information CAN be found on the internet, using a reliable source.

Stereotactic Radiosurgery is a very sucessful treatment for cancers in the brain bu also for other traumas such as Arterio-Venous Malformations, Aneurisms, Trigeminal Neuralgia and others.
Treatment is well tolerated and patients often have very side effects. |
