Back in February I was having a really bad time with UTI's and Yeast Infections... I had a bad "outbreak" of bumps that hurt so bad. I went to the Gyno and he did a culture and the test came back that I had herpes... Now, since they went away, I have not had an outbreak... And neither has my partner... Infact my partner never has had one... The doc said that some people are the carriers of herpes and dont have outbreaks... My question is, is there a likelihood the culture was wrong? And how can I find out if I definatly have it?? I know I perhaps do and am in denial...

If a doctor diagnosed you with it there is little margane for error. I'm sorry about the bad news. Don't let this influence for life.

You're absolutely in denial. If you truly question it.... Go to another doctor for another test. People will go years without outbreaks.

It sounds like it's likely you have it however it doesn't hurt to obtain tested again. Error have been made in diagnosing folks but I suspect it's a long shot. Finding out otherwise could give you piece of mind

You might be in denial, but lets face the facts you perhaps have it... I would go and obtain tested by another doctor... But the tests are only the best when you're having an outbreak... Blood tests are not that reliable...
Cultures of the bumps are the the bulk reliable... |

you already know if you have it. the cultures are not wrong. some people have herpes for years without knowing that they have it. even though you haven;t had an outbreak in months, that doesn't mean that it's not still there or that you're not contagious.
