I want to obtain this job and there is a wonderful chance I will obtain this job. It is perhaps just a matter of time. But I can already feel the panic. Meds, counselling, support groups and hospitalizations have not worked for me these past 10 years or so. The only thing that helped is not working and avoiding the bulk activities. But I Night shift can be totally fine for the body and mind. It is not prizeful for you if you couldnot adjust to it, and still have the urge to sleep at night. have to obtain a job to pay the bills. I'm worried about identity theft currently...but that will perhaps shift to something else or some other paranoia will obtain added to it. I am currently on 400-600 mg of Seroquel which is an antipsychotic. Its the only thing that gets me to sleep. I don't know what else to do. I want this job and I like to work difficult despite what it appearance like to others I know. I can't be avoiding stuff anymore. I gotta solve this problem or I'll be without heat this winter. I've hurt many of people too with this problem so I don't like asking them for support. Please help.

I hope i am doing this adding details thing right. I was on risperdal for about a year or so before seroquel. Risperdal didn't put me to sleep as consistently as seroquel. I am sort of afraid that if I tell my doc he will stop the seroquel and then I'll be back to not sleeping. I put up with the side effects b/c knowing that I'll sleep no matter what my brain is doing is the only peace of mind i got and i don't wanna give that up i guess. My doctor has tried soooo a lot meds and seroquel is the first to stay working beyond a couple weeks/months as far as sleep. The satanic/sociopathic forces and events I observe I can tolerate as long as I can focus on it and "watch my back" or whatever but when I try to focus on anything else the ideas intrude and won't let me focus. Then panic makes me shake so much it's difficult to hide it. People around me right now don't know about it and I wanna keep it that way. But it gets too obvious when I shake or lose it. Thanks to all of you.

Not working and avoiding the bulk activities is not the same as encountering and beating your fears. You know that. What is it that scares you? Are you able to verbalize it?

I can't give you online therapy in a single dose but I can tell you that you must identify your fears. What's the worst thing that can happen to you if you obtain the job?

If you simply can't do it, probably you should seek employment in a situation with little or no human contact - like groundskeeper for a golf course or condo complex.

Give your therapist a call and talk this out.

be upfront with any employer about this condition....you can obtain checks from the government as well as have a job...get a hand authored note or a document stating the condition to hand to employer....its discrimination if you have the exp & credits regardless of this problem if they don't hire you....therapy is wonderful so you won't feel alone its not a cure its support....AND PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS EVERY CHANCE YOU GET &YOU'LL GET BETTER IF NOT COMPLETELY MADE WHOLE AGAIN...

Take control. After 10 tears of therapy etc. you know the diagnosis, symtoms etc. Therapy is just a technique for someone to gain perspective on their issues. The difficult part is doing the excersises, applying the coping skills to your life on a regular basis.

I don't mean to sound unfeeling, in fact I support you a 100%, but if you really make a stand as to how you deal with these paranoiac ideas you'll have more success. You perhaps feel that as you have been to this Dr., that Group with little change you're going to stay in this rut. Not so, but yoou have to tell yourself that while all these people care and tried to help, YOU have to put the advice to work, each and every day.

    God Bless and Good Luck!

Have you tried risperdal for panic attacks? I take a fouth mg ...sometimes half mg...and it helps a lot.PS Have you read the side effects of seroquel for yourself? they're scary. Are you certainly you're on the right medication? It says it's for manic episodes...maybe you just have panic attacks. I'm not a dr. and not pretending to be...just believe in checking out medications that are prescribed. Dr.s are human and make mistakes too. They're not inside your body...they don't know what you're feeling.

Being prescribed 2 antipsychotics is very common. Seroquel is sedating and the weakest of all antipsychotics. That is why you're still exhibiting symptoms.

Talk to your doc. My hunch is that adding another antipsychotic, such as geodon or abilify, will obtain rid of the paranoia and anxiety. Go talk to your doc about this.
