Ask the question again in the winter, when they have to stand outside in the cold!!

I think its unfair and hate it. There should be bars/pubs that are smoking and some that are non-smoking. I'm certainly that many of pubs/bars and nightclubs are loosing out too.....

Most of the time it`s OK but when on holiday in England a few weeks ago was amazed to be in a bar that hade a " Large indoor Smoking Area "
Why Can`t all of them have a room with Expellant Fans and a simple door to close it off from the rest of the building, or better still let the owners of bars and clubs etc. decide if their building would be smoking or non smoking. We are not kids and everyone could have the same choice. It would seem that alchohol is causing the Health service more concern than tobacco |

well im a cook in a pub self employed and it has hit me greatly. it's peoples choice whether they smoke or not. but many of pubs are feeling the pinch. the person who runs the pub were i am is now selling up. so where does that leave me, also when winter comes no one wants to go outside in the cold and rain, they might as well stay at home.

Magic! Also statistics coming out of Scotland inexplicably express a much more significant fall in smoking associated deaths than anybody can yet explain!

i think its stupid banning it in pubs.... i mean ppl usually smoke when out socialising and drinking.... fair ample in public places but i mean its not that easy to stop for some ppl and when i was in hospital last week there were old ppl and sick ppl having to walk ages to the road so they could have a fag... fair ample smoking is bad, i do smoke but not alot, but for old ppl to be having to stand out in the cold.... i mean what are ppl gonna do in the winter, i cosidered it wouldnt go via cus ppl would just smoke anyway but it does seem to be working, i've never been out drinking since i returned back to england from working abroad so i dunno how hectic it's outside all the bars but i can imagine it'll be a bit of a nightmare. Really they should have designed somewhere in these places where ppl can smoke even if it was just a little space.

I guess the smokers are coping ok but its the non smokers that are suffering. Since the ban came in I who do not smoke have sniffed more smoke than ever before, because all the local offices in our area who can no longer smoke inside have decided that the needed distance from their office is outside ours. We are having to keep windows closed in the hotter weather and the smell and smoke seeps in through the windows and from door. I actually have a cough now which we can only put down to that.
We have tried to move them but they won't so I guess I would be suing several companies soon for allowing their staff to pollute my lungs !! |

i don't go out anymore,my bar is always open.-----------in norway people socialise in log cabins at the bottom of thier properties. but that's because alcohol is so expensive.
