my top teeth are the only ones that are crooked so can you only obtain braces on the top teeth??? or do you have to put them on top and bottom??? and is it cheaper or its the same price????

You need to have your questions answered by an orthodontist. The orthodontist can assess your teeth and tell you what the recommended treatment scheme is. i.e. if it would call for both top and bottom or just the top and how much it would cost.

Good question. So a lot people think you HAVE to have both top and bottom done. If you want just top then tell the ORTHODONTIST that you want only top done. Chances are the price would be different...I say chances because every ortho is different.

Please make certainly the orthodontist you select is a true orthodontist and not a Dentist who knows how to put braces on teeth. There is a monstrous difference...we know from our daughter's treatment that lasted 6 1/2 years because the dentist we select (who we cosidered was an ortho, was not and he didn't know what he was doing).

Also, when you commence the braces a little tip: take tylenol or aleve PRIOR to your appointment (30 mins) and this will aid with the discomfort. Chewing SUGARLESS gum will also aid keep your muscles loosened after the adjustments.

Best of luck and Benefits all around.

well when your teeth move with braces they alteration your bite alignment so you may need bottom braces too just depending on how much your bite modifications and just one row of braces is definetly cheaper by about 1000 dollars so just talk to your orthodontist and they might want to put bottom braces on or just one row and they will discuss the price with you

If the only thing wrong is crooked on the top then you will perhaps need it only on the top. But if you do have like an overbite, you'll need both.
