Sometimes when I wake up it hurts to breathe. This usually happens about 2 - 3 periods a month, but this month it seems to be happening 4-5 periods a week. I've had this problem ever since I was a kid. Normally it goes away in a few minutes, but sometimes the feeling can stick around for a couple of days. Its a dull pain in my upper back when I inhale.

Make a doctor's appointment. Have it checked out. It's perhaps nothing, but why wonder? Go observe your doctor, explain how it hurts, how long it's been going on, etc. Since the symptoms are getting more frequent, this might be a wonderful time to go observe your doctor. It shouldn't hurt to breathe.

Go and observe your Doctor and explain this to him...it could be something as simple as asthma. However, medication could prevent this pain from recurring.

Only your doctor can tell you what the problem is. You should obtain checked out esp. since it's increasing in frequency.
