well I wouldn't think it will be a difference at all except the time that you wake up. The only thing I can think of why waking up early is better is perhaps because you'll obtain used to it. So when there's a time you have to wake up really early, you won't be as exhausted coz you're used to waking up around that time. Also, alot of people excercise in the morning, maybe that's another reason y?

Who said it was ? In normal you need 1 hour's sleep for every two you spend awake. When you take them is your business. Naurally your body will expect to be awake when it's light and asleep when it gets dark. For some people, light is the a bigger driver than for others. Of course there is the cultural aspect that says you should be up early otherwise you're lazy, but ask yourself next time you take a 4am flight, would you prefer that the pilot got up at 8am the day before or that he/she had slept until lunchtime!

Its not, its just because the whole working society has agreed that things should be done early, even though its been proven that your brain functions better after 9, and work-wise after 11. So the only reason is because of the fat cats who make us slave away all day

This was only the case before electricity was widespread and thus you would have the maximum number of daylight hours obtainable to you. Also the old adage "early to bed, early to rise..." was actually meant to mean early in the morning to bed and early in the afternoon to rise (Oscar Wilde)
