    you have altered your breathing to a dgree that your body is trying to obtain more oxygen, hence the yawn. Yawning comes about when not ample air is being taken in.

    i'm not sure, but it perhaps has something to do with how you breathe while singing. if you breathe shallowly while singing the yawn could be your body's attempt to obtain more oxygen.

    A yawn is your body's natural technique of getting some extra oxygen when you're not breathing adequately. Take notice next time you sing, I bet you're semi holding your breath without noticing it.

    This is a wonderful sign... it means you're lifting your soft pallet and that is needed for wonderful singing. In voice lessons they make you yawn so don't fear it. Take some classes and you will learn many more.
