I got my wisdom taken out and the dentist gave me 3 shots around my wisdom tooth 2 of those shots were on my cheek after i came home my cheek was all swollen, i touched my cheek and realized that there was a difficult lump were she gave me the shot and i put a little pressure on it and blood started coming out of the hole were she gave me the shot. i could even feel the blood coming out of my cheek when i put pressure on it what should i do is this normal?l i mean i don't think this is because of my tooth i think she put the shot in too deep or something idk. What should i do, should i put pressure on it so all the blood can come out?

I had the same thing when I got my wisdom teeth taken out, but no blood ever came out, it was just stuck in my cheek and looked and felt horrible... it almost covered my whole right cheek...it is called a hematoma.. anyway, I had to go back to the

office a couple of days later and the doc checked it... i don't bear in mind him telling me to do anything specific, but I think that you should give them a call and let them know what is going on... wonderful luck!

This is Sunday so you perhaps had this done on Friday, so you shouldn't still be having bleeding today. You should call the dentist office and obtain the after hours off the answering machine and call them. I think you may have a collection of blood (a hematoma) in your cheek.

I had the same situation when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. It my case the teeth were fully impacted and needed surgery to remove. In a few days, as a direct result of the surgery, blood began to pool between my gum line and lower jaw. The pain quickly elevated to an excruciating level as I waited too long to return to my surgeon. Once I went back, the problem was quickly remedied. Do not play doctor and Do Not let the status quo remain as it is. Go back to your dentist/surgeon and explain what is happening.
